Mary Lee Bennetti

Mary Lee Bennetti, 81, of Lyndora passed away May 25 at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Dec. 23, 1933, in Butler, the daughter of the late William C. Hilgar and Grace (Campbell) Hilgar.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Mary Lee retired from A-Plus Mini Mart after 20 years, and she also ran the lottery machine at the Lyndora Hotel.

She was a fantastic cook, a great mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Surviving are her daughter, Laurie L. Cannizzaro of Lyndora; two sons, Jerry L. Bennetti with whom she made her home and Dana L. (Tammy) Bennetti of Emlenton; three grandchildren, David R. Gregg, Adam D. Bowers and Melinda (Brian) Padworski; and her sister, Penny L. (Allen) Hartsoe of Levittown.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers, William, David and Patrick Hilgar.

BENNETTI — A memorial service for Mary Lee Bennetti, who died Monday, May 25, 2015, will be later at a date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

Arrangements are handled by the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler.
