Norma J. Beachem

Norma J. Beachem, 72, of Chicora died at 2 a.m. Wednesday at the ACMH Hospital, Kittanning, following a short illness.

Born Sept. 8, 1936, in Homer City, Indiana County, she was the daughter of the late William E. Barclay and the late Margaret H. Kinder Barclay.

She had worked 10 years at the West Winfield Mushroom Mines and then worked five years at the Chicora Medical Center as a nurse's aide until her retirement.

Surviving are a daughter, Pam Beachem of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Clyde A Rodgers Jr. of Akin, S.C., and Patrick Rodgers of Chicora; a longtime companion, Donald W. Kerry Jr. of Chicora; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Brooks, and a brother, Val Barclay.

<B>BEACHEM </B>— At the request of Norma J. Beachem, who died Wednesday, Jan. 7,2009, there will be no visitation. Private funeral services and burial will be held at <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, Chicora, with the Rev. John Pistorius, pastor of St. John's Reformed Church of Chicora, officiating.
