Lyle E. Campbell
Lyle E. Campbell, 80, of Chicora died at 12:30 p.m. Friday in the Chicora Medical Center following a lingering illness.
He was born in Fairview Township, Chicora, Jan. 2, 1930, the son of the late Frank E. Campbell and the late Nellie McCollough Campbell.
Mr. Campbell retired in 1994 from Penreco after 40 years. He had worked in the filter house.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy J. Burns Campbell, who he married June 14, 1955; two daughters, Kathy Rankin and her husband, Robert, of Butler and Diane Orton of Parker; two sons, Bruce Campbell and his wife, Sue, of Chicora and Roger Campbell of Chicora; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cleora Murray of Butler, LaVaun Cavarra of Lakewood, Colo., and Elaine Callihan and her husband, Sidney, of Chicora; and several nieces and nephews

Slippery Rock and Main streets in Chicora and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora, where the funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Robert J. Newpher, interim pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.
