Betty June Strobel
Betty June Martin Strobel, 90, of Butler passed away at 12:30 a.m. Friday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.
She was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Butler, the daughter of the late William and Annabelle (Lang) Martin.
Betty was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Tanglewood, and the Women of the Moose. She was formerly of Fenelton and the Arbors.
During World War II, she worked at the Bantam Jeep factory. She had also worked at AGR, the Hot Dog Shop and Troutmans.
She was known for her dancing and enjoyed traveling, reading and crocheting.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Kaufold of Fenelton and Nancy (Dave) Collar of Coraopolis; one son, Vince (Judy) Strobel of New Stanton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Mark (Faye) Ross of Virginia; and numerous foster children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vince Strobel, and one infant grandson.
