Robert L. McGaughey
Robert L. McGaughey, 78, of Valencia, formerly of Glenshaw, died Thursday morning in the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Nov. 11, 1936, in Sandy Creek, Pa., he was the son of the late G. Merle and Anna Irene Widmer McGaughey.
Robert was a retired assistant vice-president of human resources from the Union National Bank in Pittsburgh and was the owner of M & M Photos and Awards in Hampton Township.
He was a Navy veteran.
He was a member of the Harmony-Zelienople Community Band and the North Pittsburgh Symphonic Band, where he played clarinet. He also was a past member of the North Hills Barbershop Choir and a past and proud member of the Sharpsburg Cadet Drum Corp.
He was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Parkwood Presbyterian Church in Allison Park.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Jackson McGaughey, who he married June 15, 1957; one son, Brian McGaughey and his wife, Amy, of Allison Park; two daughters, Deborah Mehalik and her husband, Matthew, of Richland Township and Tracy Watt, and her husband, David, of Irwin, Pa.; one sister, Anna Mae Antill of St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars; and six grandchildren, Adam, Amanda and Lauren McGaughey, Julia Mehalik, Jacob and Joshua Watt.

McGaughey, who died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, will be received 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, with the Rev.
