Doris L. Fowler, 92, formerly of Rimersburg and Morton Avenue in Butler, died at 6:55 p.m. Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.

Born Dec. 7, 1914, in Rimersburg, she was the daughter Walter and Mina Flick Mitchell.

She was a homemaker and also had owned and operated Fowler's Grocery Store in Butler.

Mrs. Fowler was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard D. and Brenda Fowler of Chicora and Barry L. and Karen Fowler of East Brady; a granddaughter, Laura and her husband, Dale Shandick, of Butler; seven grandsons, Greg Bosko and Danny Bosko and his wife, Kim, all of Butler, Brian Fowler and his wife, Lori, and Eric Fowler and his wife, Hope, all of Chicora, Christopher Fowler and his wife, Michelle, of Houston, Texas, Lonnie Fowler and his wife, Sara, of Nashville, Tenn., and Lindon Fowler and his wife, Megan, of St. Louis, Mo.; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Coyle Smith Fowler, who was died Oct. 27, 1996. A daughter, Carla Bosko, and three granddaughters, Faith Lee and Liana Lee Fowler and Rebecca Lynne Bosko, also preceded her in death.

<B>FOWLER </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Doris L. Fowler, who died Thursday, April 5, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. H. Curtis McDaniel, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.Contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, Chancel Choir Fund, 420 N.
