Ronald S. Dietz, 90, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the Lowrie Place in Butler.

Born Dec. 14, 1932, in Butler, he was a son of the late Harry and Madaline (Simon) Dietz.

Ronald was retired from T.W. Phillips, where he served as office manager for 17 years. He later worked for Butler County Juvenile Probation for another eight years.

He was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for many years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He enjoyed golfing, horse races, playing the lottery, and casinos. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

Surviving are his sisters, Arlene Bauer of Florida, and Laurie (John) Dietz Haley of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are his very dear friends, John, Chuck and Jack Swidzinski, whom he shared a lifetime.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonny (Redick) Dietz; his daughter, Jill Watterson and son-in-law, Bill Watterson; and his brother, Don Dietz and his companion, Jennie Seezox.

His family and friends would like to thank the staff at Lowrie Place for such good care that he had received for the past two years.

DIETZ — There will be no public visitation for Ronald S. Dietz, who died Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

A private blessing service will be held for the family.

Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Butler.

Arrangements were completed by GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
