Harry W. Stewart Jr.

Harry W. Stewart Jr., 79, of East Butler died at 1:03 a.m. Friday at UPMC Shadyside.

Born May 20, 1930, in East Butler, he was the son of Harry W. Sr. and Daisy Crispin Stewart.

He was employed by Penreco in Karns City. He was a member of the Archaeology Society of Pennsylvania.

He was a Protestant.

He is survived by three grandchildren, Danell Reges of Butler, Derik Stewart of Butler and Lisa Steiner of Chicora; five great-grandchildren, Delilah Reges, Joselyn Reges, Lynelle Reges, Jadlyn Stewart, and Hannah Steiner; a sister, Dorothy Day and her husband, Richard, of East Butler; a brother, Donald E. Stewart and his wife, Janie, of Butler; his former wife, Ilene Lake of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Stewart.

<B>STEWART</B> — Friends of Harry W. Stewart Jr., who died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. William Fish, pastor of Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
