Virginia M. Uram
Virginia M. Uram, 86, of Butler died peacefully Thursday morning surrounded by her family at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born May 16, 1924, in Lyndora, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Katherine (Beitch) Polanec.
Virginia was a member of the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, cooking and the company of friends and relatives.
Surviving are her husband, Michael H. Uram, who she married July 19, 1947; a son, Robert M. Uram and his wife, Sue, of Butler; a daughter, Donna J. Mores and her husband, Alan, of Butler; a granddaughter, Amber Nicole Uram of Carnegie; four brothers, Albert, Isadore, Thomas and Richard “Dick” Polanec, all of Butler; two sisters, Rose Marie Hindman of Saxonburg and Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Moses of Butler; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, William, Edward and Frederick Polanec.
<B>URAM </B>— Friends of Virginia M. Uram, who died Thursday, March 24, 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Oravetz, pastor, will officiate.
