Judith H. Lukes, 72, of West Chester, Pa., passed away Monday at Chester County Hospital, West Chester.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Lukes Jr., with whom she shared 52 years of marriage. They were blessed to have three children, Karen Liacouras (Chris) of West Chester, Mark Lukes (Janet) of Lancaster, and Ken Lukes (Andrea) of Chapel Hill, N.C. She was the loving grandmother of Michael and Scott Liacouras, Megan and Matthew Lukes, and Dylan, Quade, Ethan and Ona Lukes.

She is the sister of the late Carl E. Holben Jr. and is survived by her sister, Joyce H. Wise (Thomas), of Clearwater, Fla.

Judy was born in Coudersport and was the daughter of the late Carl and Violet Holben. She lived most of her youth in Zelienople and spent most of her married life in West Chester.

Her love for her husband, children and grandchildren was the focal point of her life. She learned to love sports by following her children and grandchildren and became an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. Judy was a beloved friend to many. She also enjoyed working with charitable organizations such as Meals on Wheels.

<B>LUKES</B> — Relatives and friends of Judith H. Lukes, who passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, are invited to her funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, with a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
