As summer returns, live music will be available at area parks and other venues.

Here are a few local places and events where people can catch live music.

The Big Butler Fair will host the following concerts this summer: Black Stone Cherry will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, June 30. The band’s performance will include its brand-new song, “Out of Pocket.”

Also at the fairgrounds, Drake White, a country music artist with four Top 40 hits, will perform at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 8.

A live band can be expected at most Foodie Fridays. Butler Downtown’s event begins in the evening at 240 N. Main St. They are held every third Friday of the month beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The Open Air Market in Zelienople — which features live music, street food, children’s activities and more — is held from 5 to 9 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 26 along Main Street in Zelienople.

The Beacon Hotel hosts live bands Saturday nights and acoustic music on the patio Sunday evenings.

Lyndora Hotel’s Open Mic Night means everyone and anyone can show off their talent from 7 to 10 p.m. every other Wednesday.

Weekends at taprooms like Missing Links, North Country Brewery, Recon Brewery, 11th Frame Bar and Grille, and Rock House Bar and Grill are packed with local artists and groups. Check out each business’s website for full lists of appearing acts.

The free Family Summer Concert Series at Alameda Park begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the First Responder Pavilion from June through August. Musical genres represented will include folk, acoustic, jazz, rock ’n’ roll, blues and country. Scheduled are Rock Jazz Trio, June 6; Washboard Tony & Friends, June 13; The Jukebox Review, June 20; Washboard Tony & Rocking Bob, June 27; This, That & The Other Thing, July 11; Better Late, July 18; Collision Band, July 25; Muddy Creek, Aug. 1; Eugene & Nightcrawlers, Aug. 8; Endless Thirst, Aug. 15; and K&K Jazz Quintet, Aug. 22. The Band Jam Grass Roots Music Festival will overtake Cooper’s Lake Campground and Event Center Aug. 25 and 26 and feature more than 20 local acts throughout the weekend, including Aris Paul Band, Dinnerbell Road, Greg Marra and more.
