It is with deep sadness and much love that we announce the peaceful passing of Kathryn Ann (Hannan) Hodgson, 76, of Hampton Township, formerly of Penn Township, on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Kay worked at Friedman’s in Butler for 18-plus years.

She enjoyed spending time with family playing cards and board games with her grandchildren, crocheting, sewing and cooking. She will be dearly missed for her famous deviled eggs, cinnamon bread and potato salad.

Kay is survived by her husband, Ronald Hodgson; her sons, Patrick (Jan) Hodgson of Suffolk, Va., and Rodney Hodgson of Manassas, Va.; her daughter, Kitt (Jerry) Starr of Gibsonia; and her grandchildren, Sam, Tom, Alex, Maddie, Lexi, Madison, Alison, Kelli and Joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Anna (Daniels) Hannan; her brother, Eugene Hannan; her sister, Marilou Griest; and her nephew, Bryan Griest.

HODGSON — A private memorial will be held for Kathryn Ann (Hannan) Hodgson, who died Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Arrangements are under the direction of KING FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.
