Mary F. Terek
Mary F. Rubrecht Terek, 86, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Saturday morning at UPMC Passavant hospital in Cranberry Township.
Born in Pittsburgh, May 30, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Przbylski Rubrecht.
A homemaker, Mrs. Terek was a lifelong member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills, where she belonged to the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Christian Mothers of the church.
She was an avid bingo and card player.
She was the loving mother of Carol Thompson of Middlesex Township, Daniel Terek Jr., and his wife, Bonnie, of Mars, Alan Terek and his wife, Irene, of Middlesex Township and the late Joseph A. Terek; grandmother of Shirley Ann Alexander (Will) of Virginia Beach, Va., and Daniel Terek III of Kingsville, Md.; and great-grandmother of Sophia and Lillian Alexander. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel V. Terek Sr., who she married Dec. 29, 1943, and who died April 19, 2009; her son, Joseph; her siblings, Emerson and Thomas Rubrecht, Anna Arens, Veronica Rubrecht, Stella Schlesselbrunner, Severina Terek and Elizabeth Huber; and a foster sister, Mary "Honey" Skunda.
<B>TEREK</B> — Friends of Mary F. Rubrecht Terek, who died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Sepulcher Church with Father Albert Semler, pastor, officiating.
