Louis A. Smith
Louis A. Smith, 71, of Butler passed away Thursday at Saxony Health Center.
He was born Jan. 31, 1947, in Freeport, and was the son of the late Erwin G. and Frances (Mack) Smith.
Louis lived most of his life in Freeport.
He was a counselor parent at George Jr. Republic in Grove City for 27 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Louis was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights.
He graduated from Freeport High School and earned a B.S. from LaRoche College.
Louis enjoyed his monthly wine clubs and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sandra (Roman) Smith of Butler; his daughter, Laura L. (Joshua P.) Beck of Lower Burrell; and twin grandchildren, Layla and Cooper Beck. Also surviving is a sister, Betty (Louis) Vodzak of Sarver.
