Last 25 units of 100-unit plan recommended by Butler Township planning commission
The Butler Township Planning Commission is recommending approval of phase two of the Highfield Trails 100-unit development at the corner of South Duffy and Highfield roads.
The commission voted unanimously at a meeting Tuesday, June 6, to recommend final approval of the plan to township commissioners, according to Jesse Hines, township zoning officer.
Township commissioners already gave preliminary approval to the plan as well as final approval for its first phase, which consisted of the initial 75 units of the development.
“It’s the exact same plan that was already approved,” Hines said Wednesday, June 7. “It’s right in line with the preliminary plan. They are just seeking final approval.”
Great Living LLC received preliminary approval on a 100-unit plan for a 39.17-acre site in 2021. It was estimated at the time that construction on the development would take two to three years.
