Hogue

Richard S. “Dick” Hogue, 72, of North Main Street, Harrisville, died Monday at his home.

Born in Harrisville, March 17, 1939, he was the son of Stephen J. Hogue and Mildred E. (Graham) Hogue.

A lifetime resident of the Harrisville area, he was a 1958 graduate of Harrisville High School and was a truck driver for the Montgomery Block Co. in Harrisville. He also worked at the former Pangborn in Butler as a furnace operator for 20 years.

Mr. Hogue was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church and the Harrisville United Methodist Men.

He was an avid hunter and gardener and enjoyed tinkering around the house.

Surviving are his wife, Joan A. (McNeish) Hogue, who he married May 6, 1960; his children, Douglas C. Hogue and his wife, Prescilla, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., Robert A. Hogue and his wife, Gaile, of Butler, Kimberly A. Stoughton and her husband, Mitchell, of Slippery Rock and Brian E. Hogue and his wife, Linda, of Jackson Center; and five grandsons, Cody, Rayne, Cole, Trevor and Brandon. Two sisters, Joan Davis and her husband, Red, of Emlenton and Betty Hoffman and her husband, Fred, of Harrisville, also survive.

In addition to his parents, two sisters preceded him in death.

<B>HOGUE</B> — Friends of Richard S. Hogue, who died Monday, May 31, 2011, may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main st., Harrisville. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. William E. Hastings of the Harrisville United Methodist Church officiating.
