Police Reports
The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:
June 7 — Emily M. Shontz, 28, of Evans City, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Police said she caused a disturbance.
June 7 — Mark D. Pompa, 43, of Sewickley, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped him on Route 228. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and that a later breath test showed Pompa’s blood alcohol content at 0.155%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
June 13 — Stacy Byers, 33, of Butler, was hit by the passenger side mirror of a vehicle driven by Benjamin Johnson, 56, of Gibsonia, on Pittsburgh Road. She suffered an arm injury and was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.
June 6 — John P. Neely, 35, of Butler, was charged with felony receiving stolen property and misdemeanors use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they stopped him driving a stolen vehicle and that he was found with two stamp bags of suspected heroin, a scale and syringes.
June 6 — Brandyn L. Gutauskas, 29, of Lyndora, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he took $120 from a home without permission.
June 12 — Jonathan R. Shuler, 35, of Butler, was charged with felony fleeing an officer, misdemeanors DUI, evading arrest, use and possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic citations after police say he failed to yield for a traffic stop in Summit Township. Police said he showed signs of impairment and that buprenorphine, a metal spoon, and hypodermic needles were found in his car.
June 12 — Daniel L. Wolfe, 37, of Butler, was charged with felony fleeing an officer, misdemeanors DUI and reckless endangerment and several traffic citations after police said he failed to yield for a traffic stop on his motorcycle in Butler city. Police said he showed signs of impairment.
June 9 — Edge W. Kerry, 29, of Karns City, was charged with felony drug sales and misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he sold drugs to a confidential informant.
June 7 — Timothy J. Hindman, 64, of Butler, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Police said he punched someone in the face.
June 5 — Karen S. Verheyen, 55, of West Sunbury, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said she took a package from someone’s porch.
