Jeffrey Jon Hill Sr.

Hill Sr.

Jeffrey Jon Hill Sr., 54, of Fisher Road in Cabot, formerly of Sarver, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 17, 1955, in Butler, he was the son of James B. Hill and Patricia Grenet Hill.

Mr. Hill was a journeyman machinist.

He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sarver. Mr. Hill was a member of the Vets' Club of Sarver.

He was an avid hunter in archery and rifle. He enjoyed skydiving and was a member of Grove City Parachute Club. Mr. Hill enjoyed snow skiing all his life and had skied in the Alps.

He was in the U.S. Army, 1st Armored Division.

Mr. Hill is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Jon Hill Jr. and Shane Paul Hill of Sarver; and one daughter, Shannon Eileen Hill of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are his mother, Patricia Hill of Cabot; two brothers, Tyler of Cabot and Tim and his wife, Linda, of Carmel, Ind.; his nephews Ryan, Justin and Daniel Hill of Carmel, Ind.; his former wife of 29 years, Nancy Shank Hill of Sarver; his loving aunts and uncles, Janyce and Bob Kaltenhauser of Saxonburg, Joyce Hall of Butler and Patricia Hild and Ray Fortunato of State College; and cousins.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his father.

<B>HILL</B> — Friends of Jeffrey Jon Hill Sr., who died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2010, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 409 Sarver Road, Sarver, with the Rev. Emery L. Barnet, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Allegheny Region Red Cross, P.O.
