William Loniel Hays

William "Bill" Loniel Hays, 84, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, formerly of Butler, died June 10 in the Riverview Care Center, Oak Harbor.

Born July 22, 1925, in Butler, he was a son of the late William Henderson Hays and Kathryn Stoll Hays.

Mr. Hays worked for Pullman Standard and for Koch Hardware.

He attended the Trinity Presbyterian Church and the Christ Community Methodist Church, Butler.

Mr. Hays was in the U.S. Navy in World War II.

He was a member of the Victory Lodge 694 F&AM for more than 50 years, a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Post 64.

Mr. Hays is survived by one daughter, Carol (Thomas) Osborne of Lakeside, Ohio; and one granddaughter, Vanessa Osborne (Reif) Blackburn of Lakewood, Ohio.

Mr. Hays was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Julia Hays, who passed away on Aug. 29, 2000.

<B>HAYS</B> — We ask that all friends and family join us for a celebration of life at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park for William "Bill" Loniel Hays, who died Thursday, June 10, 2010.Military services will be conducted. A luncheon for all will follow at Dingbats.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to D.A.V.
