Big Butler Fair in full swing

The Big Butler Fair has some new daily attractions and grand-slam events this year, from bus (demolition derby) to rodeos, and people have until Saturday, July 8 to see it all.

The fairgrounds at 1127 New Castle Road, Franklin Township, is playing host to a carnival with games and rides, an alpaca show, a kids’ caravan parade, tractor pulls, a school bus demolition derby and hundreds of livestock animals.

The fair opened Friday, June 30, with some animal shows. Fireworks will be set off shortly after dark Tuesday, July 4.

The fair is open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily through July 8, and tickets for general admission start at $8. Children age 6 and younger as well as active military members with a valid ID will be admitted without charge.
