Eslinger

Stephanie I. (Steininger) Eslinger, 70, of Des Moines, Iowa, died March 15 of respiratory failure at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines after an extended illness.

Stephanie was born Oct. 29, 1942, in Monessen, Pa., to the late Rev. Dr. Russell and Mrs. Ruth (Bond) Steininger.

She grew up in Butler and was a graduate of Wittenberg University in Ohio and the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. A long career in social work led her to her most recent service at the Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 43 years, Ronald of Des Moines, Iowa; daughter, Elise Eslinger (Don Perkins) of Northfield, Minn.; a son, Evan Eslinger of Blue Springs, Mo.; a sister, Merab Drennen of Butler; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
