How long will we punish Scott Adams, the creator of the Dilbert comic strip, for what some say were stupid remarks? Is his strip to be banished for life? Are publishers going to show no mercy?

Even some convicted murderers have the prospect of serving their sentence and then final release. Why is Scott being singled out for punishment? If making stupid remarks is now the standard for public censure, why isn't such punishment applied to politicians? If it were, there wouldn't be many left in Washington D.C.

Come on, let’s bring Scott out of exile and let the people who pay for today’s local newspapers decide if he is worth reading or not.
