Helen Marie Dinkfelt Bednar, 76, of Slippery Rock died Sunday.

Born Sept. 5, 1928, in Braddock, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of Augustus and Anne Marie Vincunas Dinkfelt.

She was a wife, homemaker and loving grandmother.

Her husband of 48 years, Andy J. Bednar, died in October 1998.

Surviving are a son Andrew P. Bednar and his wife, Karen, of Irwin; a daughter, Andrea Mason and her husband, Robert, of Slippery Rock, with whom she made her home since October 1998; and four grandchildren Benjamin Mason, Evan Mason, Erica Bednar and Kevin Bednar. Also surviving are two sisters Lorraine Stakely of Allison Park and Martha Kuber of Upper St. Clair.

An infant daughter; a grandson, Dustin Mason; and a sister, Dolly Cicero, also preceded her in death.

BEDNAR - A private memorial service for Helen Marie Dinkfelt Bednar, who died Sunday, March 20, 2005, will be observed Wednesday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Slippery Rock.Memorial contributions may be made to Slippery Rock Rescue Squad.
