Karen L. Zier
Karen L. Zier, of Leechburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, May 24, 2021, at the age of 67, with her beloved husband, Roger, by her side, after fighting her battle with leukemia.
Karen was a toddler teacher for 28 years.
She was an avid reader, crafter and sewer, loved baking and cooking, caring for her many plants, and enjoyed the many birds that would come to her bird feeders.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, where she sang with her choir and enjoyed worshipping with her church family.
Karen had a love for antiquing and yard sales, along with collecting many different things.
She was an ovarian cancer survivor of 12 years, and her life was full of love and laughter. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Amber Rieger (Douglas) and Shannon Lewis (Zachary); her stepdaughters, Lilac Zier and Amanda Wilson (Jason); her grandchildren, Grayson and Brynnleigh; a brother, Kevin Neubert (Michelene); her niece and goddaughter, Emily Tilden (Matthew); a nephew, Jason Neubert; and her mother, Avis M. Neubert.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn E. Neubert.
We would like to extend a very special “thank you” to her care team at Amedisys Hospice Care of Butler.
