Elaine (Gulick) Schroder, 82, of Pawleys Island, S.C., formerly of Monongahela passed away Oct. 10.

Born in 1936, in Monongahela, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Elizabeth (Rohaly) Gulick.

Elaine graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh in 1957, and was employed as an RN at several hospitals in Michigan, Florida and South Carolina. She retired in 2005 from Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown, S.C.

She is survived by two sons, Timothy Schroder of Germany, and Douglas Schroder of Virginia; two daughters, Monica Larsen and Gwyn Newsome, both of Michigan; a brother, John Gulick of Monongahela; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ralph Schroder, who died April 14, 2014; a brother, Leonard Gulick; and a sister, Elizabeth Diem.

SCHRODER — Friends and family of Elaine (Gulick) Schroder, who died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, are invited to attend a funeral service to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, 508 High St., Monongahela, with the Very Rev.
