Douglas E. Bogolea, 65, of Harmony died unexpectedly on Friday.

Born Dec. 24, 1943, in New Sewickley Township, he was the son of the late Albert N. and Jean Watson Bogolea.

A graduate of the Freedom High School, Mr. Bogolea had been a service manager at Miller & Sons Chevrolet in Aliquippa for 46 years.

He was an avid hunter and trapshooter, a life member of the Millvale Sportsman Club, a life member of the NRA and a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association.

He was a Lutheran.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Banyay West Bogolea, whom he married Nov. 3, 2001; two sons, Bobby Verdoni and his wife, Christy, of Canonsburg and Brian Bogolea of Houston, Texas; two stepdaughters, Jackie West of Butler and Julie Rubright and her husband, David, of Middle Lancaster; two brothers, Albert "Jim" Bogolea of East Rochester and Randy Bogolea and his wife, Carole, of Conway; and three grandchildren, Brandon Verdoni and Tyler and Justin Rubright, all at home. He also leaves many close friends.

<B>BOGOLEA</B> — Friends of Douglas E. Bogolea, who died Friday, May 15, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Peggy Suhr-Barkley officiating.
