Butler Township focuses on pre-applications
BUTLER TWP — The planning commission heard on Tuesday, July 11, from a man interested in developing properties on Saxonburg Road and on Old Plank Road.
Jesse Hines, township zoning officer, said pre-application discussions usually take place between him and a prospective developer, but Ed Thaner requested to bring his pre-application to a planning commission meeting.
Hines told Thaner that to more accurately answer his questions about developing six lots on Saxonburg Road — tentatively named “Summer Lake” — and three lots on Old Plank Road — tentatively named “Summer Wind” — he would have to submit a formal application.
Other than answering some questions for Thaner, the planning commission did not take any action on his pre-application requests.
