Eury

Mary G. Eury, 88, of Gibsonia, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

Born in Butler, on Sept. 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen McGinley Summers and the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Eury.

A 1952 graduate of Butler High School, she held a bachelor’s degree from California State University at Fullerton, and a graduate degree from LaRoche University. She worked for many years in the human resources field and was active in a number of community organizations, from her church to the American Association of University Women (AAUW).

She is survived by her four children, Mary D. (Brian) O’Connor, Robert L. Eury Jr., Susan (James) Stoltzfus, and Paul (late Kathleen) Eury; as well as five grandchildren.

EURY — Friends of Mary G. Eury, who died Tuesday, July 11, 2023, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Saints Martha and Mary Parish, St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 2554 Wildwood Road, Allison Park. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the AAUW Scholarship Fund, North Hills Pittsburgh Chapter, c/o June Maier, Treasurer, 959 Broad Meadow Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
