Gravestones vandalized at local monastery, police seeking information
State police are requesting information about report of vandalism in the cemetery of the Nativity of the Theotokos Orthodox Monastery in Jefferson Township.
Police said 28 vigil candle holders on gravestones were damaged between 4 p.m. on June 2 and 4 p.m. June 4 at the monastery on Saint Elias Lane. The damage amounted to $125.
A search of the nearby area yielded no results, police said.
