Muddy Creek approves excavator tracks
MUDDY CREEK TWP — Supervisors approved new tracks for a mini-excavator on Wednesday, July 19, at a cost of $22,000. The tracks will be paid for with unspent COVID-19 funds, secretary Abbie Flinner said. The township has around $80,000 left in the account, which must be spent by December 2024.
Muddy Creek residents also can expect some roadwork to begin and end on Thursday, July 20. A single seal treatment will be applied to Porter, Williams and West Park roads and Old Perry Highway by Youngblood Paving. The township accepted the bid from the paving company on March 15 for an estimated total of $57,778.
“A lot of times they’ll come in lower than that; it just depends on how much material they have to use, how long it takes them to (work on the roads),” Flinner said after the meeting.
