WINFIELD TWP — This week, Winfield Township’s Community Park, located behind the township government building on Brose Road, received a donation of $5,000 from Sarver-based construction company CID Associates. The township’s board of supervisors officially accepted the donation at its monthly meeting on Thursday, July 27.

According to Glenn Nagle, CID was motivated to make the donation because they relocated some of their operations from Sarver to Winfield Township.

“They’re doing work in Winfield Township because their building burned, so I guess because we were nice to them … they decided to give us a donation,” Nagle said.

There is no plan on what to use the $5,000 for as of yet, according to Nagle.
