Slippery Rock school board approves new head varsity soccer coach
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock Area School Board directors approved three new hires at a meeting Monday, July 31, including a head coach for girls soccer, Maddy Johnson.
The other hires are high school chemistry teacher Morgan Lash and high school emotional support teacher Michele Aron.
This will be Johnson’s first year as a head coach, she said. Johnson said she previously coached in Cleveland. Johnson, a native of North Olmstead, Ohio, played at Slippery Rock University from 2016 to 2019 and was selected to the all-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference team three times.
