Hilda Elizabeth (Landis) Meixsell

Hilda Elizabeth (Landis) Meixsell, 73, of East Brady passed away Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

She was born Nov. 19, 1942, in Buckhannon, W.Va., the daughter of John and Virginia (Champ) Landis.

Hilda enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, bowling, fantasy football and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Berrae Mike Meixsell, who she married July 5, 1980; three sons, Berrae Nevin Meixsell Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Fayetteville, N.C., Craig Horner and his wife, Melissa, of Boonesboro, Md., and Michael Meixsell and his wife, Kimberly, of Finksburg, Md.; four daughters, Pamela Thomas and her husband, David, of Jim Thorpe, Pa., Tracy Young and her husband, Robert, of Woodbridge, Va., Gail Janes and her husband, Mark, of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Michele Kushner and her husband, Gary, of Browntown, Va.; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Wilma Jean Haddax and her husband, Gerald, of Volga, W.Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
