Seneca Valley board member named to PSBA honor roll

Seneca Valley School Board member Susan Harrison has been recognized for her years of service by being added to the Pennsylvania School Board Association’s honor roll.

The PSBA’s Honor Roll of School Board Service program awards school board members who have served for at least eight years, and then recognizes them again at each four-year increment.

Harrison represents Region 3, which serves part of Cranberry Township. She has served on the school board since September 2015, and is about to complete her second four-year term. She is running unopposed for the Region 3 board seat for the upcoming general election this November.

Harrison’s achievement was recognized at the monthly school board meeting Monday. Aug. 14.

“Ms. Harrison is an ethical, principled member with a deep desire to serve her community,” said school board president Kathy Whittle. “She believes in the value of our public schools and local control of public education for the benefit of all students. I am very pleased to recognize her for being a part of this rich legacy of school director service, and I thank her for her time, expertise and energy.”
