Police Reports
The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts.
July 31 — Jonathan G. Will, 41, of Butler, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped him on Route 8. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.252%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Aug. 16 — Four people sustained injuries when a vehicle driven by Sara Brown, 20, of Butler with three passengers that was traveling south on Route 38 in Oakland Township struck an embankment, overturned and went into the northbound lane, where it was struck by a truck driven by John McGary Jr., 50, of North Cambria, Cambria County. Brown and passenger Clayton Snow, 20, of Butler were taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh; a 13-year-old male passenger was taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and Benjamin Claypoole, 18, of Emlenton, was taken to UPMC Presbyterian.
Aug. 10 — A car driven by Daniel Nicolard, 39, of Pittsburgh struck a car disabled from a previous collision on the right side of Interstate 79 in Worth Township. The driver of the disabled car, Tyler Leek, 25, of Alliance, Ohio, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with suspected minor injuries.
