Philip Lee Christy

Philip Lee Christy, 49, of Eau Claire died at 12:29 a.m. Saturday at his parents’ home after a long illness.

Born March 13, 1958, in Butler, he was the son of Monty L. and Patricia A. Wagner Christy.

He was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in Murrinsville.

During his working years, he had been employed at the Boron Station and at the Shamrock Golf Course, both of Slippery Rock; at various construction projects; and at Agway in Butler until ill health resulted in retirement.

Surviving are his parents of Eau Claire; two daughters, Megan and Elizabeth Christy of Penn Township; a brother, David LeRoy Christy and his companion, Susan Wagner, of Slippery Rock; his maternal grandfather, Leo Wagner of Butler; a nephew; and a great-nephew.

CHRISTY — Friends of Philip Lee Christy, who died Saturday, May 12, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, Main Street, Route 38, Eau Claire. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Murrinsville, with the Rev. Richard Thompson officiating. Burial will be at the Eau Claire Cemetery.
