Elizabeth Ann Sheffield

Elizabeth Ann Sheffield, 41, of Santa Monica, Calif., died Aug. 27.

She was born in Santa Monica, Oct. 1, 1962; and Liz "Lizard" was well-loved and respected by her family and peers.

She was the youngest in her class to graduate from the Gemologlcal Institute of America, graduating before she received her high school diploma.

Miss Sheffield was fluent in German and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Southern California.

In addition to playing the violin, she was on the board of directors of the Santa Monica Symphony. While enjoying a long, successful career in the entertainment industry, she found time to volunteer for various charities. She also created, made and sold fabulous jewelry to a committed clientele.

Surviving are her beloved mother, Mary Jane Steighner Sheffield; two aunts, Katherine Fillhart of Butler and Sister Joan Loretta of Elizabeth, N.J.; two uncles, John Steighner of St. Augustine, Fla., and Howard Sheffield of California; and numerous cousins in Pennsylvania and Florida, Maryland and Tennessee and Louie Sheffield of California. Many close, lifelong friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her loving father, Earl, and a younger brother, David.

SHEFFIELD - A funeral Mass for Elizabeth Ann Sheffield, who died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, was celebrated Sept. 1 at St. Joan of Arc Church, Los Angeles. Burial was at Holy Cross cemetery.
