John E. Wedlock
John E. Wedlock, 70, of Butler, formerly of Mars, passed away Monday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Nov. 6, 1944, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Thomas Wedlock and Dorothy Carey.
John was a faithful member of St. Fidelis Parish and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps., serving in the Vietnam War.
He was a welder at American Bridge Co. in Ambridge until the company closed in 1982.
He was a member of American Legion 778 of Lyndora and a lifetime member of VFW Post 7505 of Mars.
He loved to fish and his grandchildren were his life.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 47 years, Pat Puharic, who he married Jan. 2, 1968; his son, Shawn Wedlock and his wife, Christine, of Butler; his daughter, Lisa Stone and her husband, Robert, of Beaver Falls; seven grandchildren; his great-grandson; his sisters, Peggy Heffley and Nancy Bevan, both of Pittsburgh; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister.

Wedlock, who passed away Monday, March 2, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Boylan Funeral Home, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Fidelis Parish with Father James Murphy officiating.
