Donna Bowser, 69, of Slippery Rock, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, after battling cancer in hospice.

Donna lived a life of selflessness, often giving more of herself than she could ever have to give. She spent nearly her entire life taking care of SOMEONE, but that is who she was. She was loving, giving and caring to not just her own family but to over 100 children in her lifetime, many of whom had their own term of endearment for Donna. She will be as missed as she is loved — eternally and deeply.

Donna is survived by four brothers, six nieces and nephews, numerous in-laws and cousins, her three children and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor; father, James; two sisters; a brother; and a grandchild.

BOWSER — The family of Donna Bowser, who died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, will be hosting a celebration of Donna's life, which will be open to anyone wishing to celebrate at a date and location to be determined.

In lieu of a funeral and flowers, Donna wished to be cremated and that donations be made in her name to the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh.
