Helen G. Dimun

Helen G. Dimun, 89, of Villa Drive, Butler, died Monday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Elkins, W.Va., May 13, 1921, a daughter of the late Michael and Julia Russin Dimun.

Helen had been a receptionist at the former Bell Telephone Co. office in Butler for more than 20 years.

She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora, the Ladies Guild of the church and the Greek Catholic Union Lodge 109 of Lyndora. She had been active in the auxiliary of the Lyndora American Legion Post.

Surviving are a brother, Paul E. Dimun Sr. of Butler; four nieces; and five nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Nemceff, and three brothers, Mike, Harry and Jack Dimun.

<B>DIMUN </B>— Friends of Helen G. Dimun, who died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 6 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora. Her pastor, the Rev. Robert Oravetz, will officiate. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Butler.A parastas service will be at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
