Anne G. Yakubik
Anne G. Yakubik, 89, of Butler passed away at 5:25 a.m. Thursday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 28, 1921, in Lyndora, the daughter of the late Andrew Gavula and the late Eva Dimun Gavula.
Anne was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora and its Ladies Guild. She was a former member of the Soroptimist International of Butler County.
She graduated in 1939 from Butler High School. She worked at Armco as a Hot Mill schedule clerk and as a teller at the former Workingmen's Building and Loan. In 1986, she retired after 25 years as an assistant secretary from Pittsburgh Home Savings Bank after 25 years.
She enjoyed crocheting and counted cross stitch embroidery.
Surviving are her daughter, Johanna Zotter of Butler, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Yakubik, who died April 28, 1954; her granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Zotter; two brothers, and her sister.
