Lois Fern Kelly, 78, our special sister and aunt, passed away Monday at her home in Sandy, Utah,

She was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Butler County, to Roy and Nina M. Nimo Watson.

Lois was a master sergeant in the U.S. Army for 26 years. At one time, she was a recruiter for the Salt Lake City area. She served worldwide and in the United States, and she enjoyed photography.

After her retirement, she joined National Semiconductor in Salt Lake City for several years. Ms. Kelly joined Sam's Club as a product demonstrator for 16 years.

She was a devoted parishioner of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Sandy.

Lois enjoyed volunteering her time and efforts for many children, special needs events and the Humane Society.

Surviving are sisters, Maxine Bower of Grove City and Bessie Walker, Horse Shoe, N.C.; and a brother, Earl Kelly of Grove City. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Johnnie Parrish, Willie George, Robyn Kelly, Barbara Skrak, Devota Dunn, Bonnie Shafer, Gordon Bowers, Rex Walker, Kelly Bellamy, Janet Messer, Debbie Altman and Patrick Kelly; 29 grandnieces and grandnephews; 20 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; many cousins; a special sister, Glindora Breault and Roger Breault and family; cherished friends, Donna, Robyn, Edith, Linda, Margo, Ruth, Mona, Veta, Jeannie, Susan and Lance; and so many others who we may have missed. Lois loved them all.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elaine George, Phyllis Crouch and Linda Kelly; a brother, Gene Kelly; a nephew, Michael R. Kelly; and a great-nephew, Todd Dunn.

<B>KELLY</B> — Viewing for Lois Fern Kelly, who died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday the <B>Goff Mortuary</B>, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, Utah, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Friday at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9800 S. 1700 East, Sandy, Utah. Interment will be in Larkin Sunset Gardens.
