SRU reveals record-breaking enrollment numbers
Slippery Rock University welcomed its largest class size of first-year students since 2019, and counts a record-breaking number of graduate students in its student body this year, SRU officials revealed during president Karen Riley’s campus address on Sept. 14.
Enrollment has increased 1.4% compared to last year, with 8,362 students enrolled in the students, Riley said.
According to data provided by SRU, 1,535 of those students are first-years and make up the largest class size since 2019 with a 5.2% increase from last year.
Official numbers will be released once Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education verifies enrollments by Oct. 9.
