Julia Gonko
Julia Gonko, 95, of the Lowrie House, formerly of Lyndora, died Tuesday afternoon at the Sunnyview Home.
Born April 28, 1912, in Lyndora, she was a daughter of Michael and Anna Dzupina Gonko.
She had worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory, at the G.C. Murphy store on Main Street, and she also had been a domestic housekeeper.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora and the Greek Catholic Union.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, an infant brother and five infant sisters.
<B>Gonko </B>— Friends of Julia Gonko, who died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora. The Rev. Dennis Bogda will officiate.
