Francis John Kornick Jr., 63, of Butler passed away Monday at his home.

Born May 20, 1953, he was the son of the late Francis John Kornick Sr. and Ida Mae Sinz Kornick.

Surviving are his son, Frankie (Julie) Kornick of Sarver; and his daughters, Lachrishia May Kornick of Butler and Sherry Ann Kornick of Statesville, N.C.

He is also survived by Mary Jo Kornick to whom he was previously married for 27 years; his sister, Mary (Paul) Angert of Butler; his grandchildren, Nadine, Tryton and Kaylee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Francis was preceded in death by his sister, Jeannie Pearson; and his grandsons, Mitchell and Curtis.

He loved gardening and enjoyed being outdoors.

He was a loving father and will be greatly missed.
