Rose Marie (Monteleone) Darnell
Rose Marie (Monteleone) Darnell, 74, of Lyndora died Saturday afternoon at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 21, 1939, in Butler, and was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen Marie (Huff) Monteleone.
Rose Marie had worked at Gaylord’s Department Store in Butler and also for the Butler Eagle in the circulation department. She was a collector of stamps and post cards, loved animals, especially her cats, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving are her fiance and companion, Kleon Mimis of Lyndora; two sons, Christopher Darnell of Missouri and Michael Darnell of Pittsburgh; one daughter, Jennifer Ann Reed and her fiance, Chad Anderson, of Butler; three grandchildren, Aaron Darnell, Karah Anderson and Chace Anderson; one sister, Mary Quartararo of Florida; two brothers, Richard (Connie) Monteleone of Butler and Nicholas (Ginny) Monteleone of Florida; her goddaughters, Patricia Quartararo Slupe and Diana Monteleone; her mother-in-law, Eleanor Darnell of New York and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Monteleone.
DARNELL — Family and friends of Rose Marie (Monteleone) Darnell, who died Saturday, April 27, 2013, are invited to gather at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
