Robert L. Green
Robert L. Green, 69, of Lyndora died Sunday evening at his home.
Born Aug. 5, 1939, in Butler, he was a son of Regene T. (Heasley) Green and the late Clifford F. Green.
He graduated from Butler High School and had worked at the Armco Steel plant in Butler in the shipping department at Plant II stainless processing for 37 years until he retired in 2001.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 117 in Butler, the Armco C Bowling League, the Strikes and Spares Bowling League and was a former member of the Butler Moose Lodge 64.
Bob was an avid sports fan. He especially liked to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR racing and also enjoyed fishing.
He had served in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. (Onufer) Green, whom he married Oct. 21, 1972; a daughter, Diana L. Green of California; two grandsons, Robert A. Green and Anthony Green, both of Washington, Pa.; his mother, Regene T. Green of Butler; a brother, Richard A. Green of Butler; a sister, Vel Green of Chicora; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Green; and a sister, Marlene Green.
<B>Green </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Robert L. Green, who died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
