Gail Elizabeth Glenn
Gail Elizabeth Glenn, 80, a former longtime resident of Cambridge Springs, died Monday at the home of a daughter, LaVonne Clements, in Thornville, Ohio, with whom she lived for the past year. She had been in failing health.
Born June 29, 1927, in Charleston, W.Va., she was a daughter of Robert and Katherine White Fulton.
Mrs. Glenn had been a secretary in the business department of Edinboro University for 20 years and retired in 1991. Previously, she worked at Jamison Hospital in New Castle as a ward clerk and also had been a clerk at the Polk State Hospital.
She was a former member of the American Legion Post 381 Auxiliary in Cambridge Springs and was a member of the Cambridge Springs Booster Club.
Gail was a drum corps fanatic and followed the Erie Mavericks and the Garfield Cadets. She was a Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates fan and particularly enjoyed interacting with the students at Edinboro University.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Allen Glenn and his wife, Belinda, of Lima, Ohio, and Thomas R. Glenn and his friend, Kim Mitchell, both of Cambridge Springs; three daughters, LaVonne L. Clements and her husband, Cliff, of Thornville, Susan Gail Glenn of Huron, Ohio, and Marcie Ann Farrell and her husband, Tommy, of Okeechobee, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Hugh and Donald Clements, Elizabeth "Drissy" Clements Marlo, Robert Thomas Glenn, Valerie Lyne Glenn and Tommy and Timmy Farrell.
On April 24, 1945, she married Robert Thomas Glenn, and he died April 1, 1987. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Victoria Glenn; a son, Donald DeWitt Glenn; and a grandson, Samuel Clements.
<B>GLENN</B> — Friends of Gail Elizabeth Glenn, who died Monday, May 5, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Van Matre Family Funeral Home </B>in Cambridge Springs. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Pleasant Cemetery, Pine Township, Allegheny County.Memorials may be made to the Robert T. Glenn and Gail E.
