Zoe E. Miller
Zoe E. Miller, 82, of Butler died at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 13, 1925, in Butler, she was the daughter of Thomas Glenn Hackett and Lorene Shields.
Mrs. Miller was a school crossing guard for the city at the corner of Jefferson and Chestnut streets for many years.
She was a member of the East Butler Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of the Butler Chapter 45 Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine of Jerusalem Chapter 32.
Surviving are her husband, Aaron E. "Gene" Miller, whom she married Dec. 26, 1951; a daughter and her husband, Sherry L. and Michael Sharp of Kansas City, Mo., a brother, William Hackett of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Her first husband, William I. Laird, died in 1949. She also was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
