Rev. Floyd N. Hazen
The Rev. Floyd N. Hazen, 77, of 163 Rolling Valley Lane went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening. He died at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 23, 1928, in Wellsville, Ohio, he was the son of Raymond and Hilda Rahleen Hazen.
He was a graduate of Geneva College and the Reformed Presbyterian Seminary of Pittsburgh, and he was the pastor and a member of Whitestown Road Baptist Church. He lived his life in service to his Savior, Jesus Christ, and desired that all the people he knew would come to know the Lord and serve Him too. During his years of ministry, he founded the Pine Valley Bible Camp and pastored numerous other churches.
Rev. Hazen served in the Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia White Hazen, whom he married May 31, 1968; two daughters, Sandy Lee Holmes of Toledo, Ohio, and Mary A. Holbrook of Howey In The Hills, Fla.; two sons, Richard J. Allison of Monroe, Mich., and Robert K. Hazen of Jersey Shore, Lycoming County; and six grandchildren, Richae, Natalia and Nathaniel Allison, Ben and Rachel Hazen and Lauren Holbrook.
Also surviving is a sister, Charmaine Hazen Kerr Newmeister of Tampa, Fla.
HAZEN — Friends of the Rev. Floyd N. Hazen, who died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the R. CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Whitestown Road Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Fisher, pastor of Homemaker Chapel, officiating.
